MOPMC-T-0718 Evaluation of the Flood tolerance of Planted Oak Seedlings Derived from Different Seed Origins The specific objectives of the proposed research are: 1) to determine the effect of controlled flooding treatments, including inundation, on the survival and regrowth of planted oak seedlings in the Flood Laboratory located at the NRCS Plant Materials Center (PMC) in Elsberry, Missouri, and 2) to contrast these results with additional flood evaluations using planted seedlings in the Flood Tolerance Laboratory at the Horticulture and Agrofestry Research Center (HARC) in New Franklin, Missouri and a potted seedling study as a means to further expand upon our knowledge base of how plants respond to controlled flooding events. 2007-2010
